Making crepe paper flowers is an old craft that’s suddenly new again, thanks to Martha Stewart.

You need only readily available, inexpensive materials. Directions have been a problem. A few websites give directions for simple flowers, but the old books with lots of flowers have been long out of print. Even if you can find one, the directions are not easy to follow.

In our book, The Art of Making Paper Flowers, we’ve updated the instructions, so they are step-by-simple-step. Each set of instructions has been tested, rewritten and tested again. Each flower’s instructions start with a materials list.

The book includes a chapter on materials and techniques, and one that details uses for the finished flowers. Complete instructions, with patterns and a color photo, are given for fifteen flowers. You’ll find a complete range of patterns from the very simple to the more difficult. (None is terribly hard.) Flowers representative of all the seasons are included.

The Art of Making Paper Flowers is sold through our website:

We also send out a free newsletter, with instructions for a new flower each month, and articles about our favorite craft.
